How to Verify a Domain

Domain verification is an essential step for ensuring secure communication and proper configuration. Below, we provide detailed guidance on verifying your domain.

Why Is My Domain Not Verified?

If your domain is still marked as Unverified, it could be due to the following:

  • The required TXT record has not been added to your DNS configuration.
  • DNS changes are still propagating (this process can take up to 72 hours).
  • The TXT record was added incorrectly or is incomplete.

Steps to Verify a Domain

Access the Domain Verification Page

Navigate to Settings > Domain Verification to access the setup page. Here, you’ll find the necessary instructions and records to add to your DNS.

Field Description
TXT Record The unique string to be added to your DNS configuration. Example: b835e5863b9...36e2f0dc39f
Domain Status Indicates whether the domain is verified.

Add the TXT Record

Copy the provided TXT record and add it to your DNS provider under the domain you wish to verify.

Click "Request Domain Verification"

Once the TXT record is added to your DNS, you can click the Request Domain Verification button. Although this is not a required step, this action initiates a verification request task at our backend.

Wait for Propagation and Verification

DNS changes may take up to 72 hours to propagate across the internet. Check back periodically to confirm verification. We check for the TXT record on an on going basis so as soon as it's online we will change the status of your domains accordingly.

Managing Domains Status

The Domain Verification page displays a list of all domains and their current verification statuses. For example:

Domain Status
notmydomain.com Unverified
example.com Verified
sucurilabs.com Verified
sucurilabs.con Unverified
